After several years of working at the cutting edge of web development & thinking about maybe writing a blog, I've finally decided to commit a little bit & have actually created one.
It's so brand new infact that I haven't actually written anything yet but, when I do, I'm sure you'll find it pretty interesting...
It isn't just limited to CSS, I will be covering most things front-end including Javascript (DOM/AJAX/Prototype etc), Semantic HTML & Accessibility and User Experience Design.
Also a good helping of the mechanics including the HTTP protocol, making full use of Fiddler2, pre-processors, ASP.Net MVC, SEO etc.
Keep an eye out for the following articles over the next few months:
- A better way to do floated lists (how to cope with variable heights)
- Logging on without a refresh
- CSS hacks (dos and don'ts)
- In a nutshell guides to various CSS concepts
- inline vs block
- absolute vs relative
- merging margins
- the fallacy of floats
- sprites
Kindest Regards
Chris
